IP & Innovation
The JanAces Project Example:
An iOS app called built by an aspiring computer science student to provide UV protection guidance for outdoors workers in Hong Kong, winning one of the innovation prizes by the Hong Kong Observatory.
The Execution: The student coded a mobile app that used real-time UV index API data and camera-based skin patch scanning to calculate safe sun-exposure limits. It reached over 5,000 downloads on the App Store and was featured in a local tech blog.​

Social Entrepreneurship & Community Engagement
The JanAces Project:
A campaign targeting awareness of menstrual hygiene and cultural misunderstanding about periods that brought impact in Hong Kong & South Asian countries.
The Execution: In conservative South Asian culture, menstruation is historically surrounded by a "culture of silence" . Our student broke the code of science amongst minorities circles in Hong Kong and visited schools in Bangladesh, India and Nepal to promote menstrual hygiene and break the and deep-rooted taboos.

Athletic Leadership
The JanAces Project: "Leap & Lead", a national rope skipper's promotion of female leadership in minority competition sports in Canada, and Hong Kong.
The Execution: A platform that gathered female athletes to share and promote young girls joining sports and leadership through community service and free coaching.

Scholarly Research & Publication
The JanAces Project Example:
A student researched the impact of micro-plastics on local marine life.
The Execution: After cold-emailing over 20 university professors and local environmental protection NGOs, a lab granted bench space to review the impact of microplastic in Hong Kong shores and seafood products. The student authored a paper on plastic ingestion rates in local harbor oysters and got it published in the Journal of Emerging Investigators (a peer-reviewed journal for pre-college science).

Creative Masterpieces & Showcases

"Avenger Shroom"—a self-published sci-fi graphic novel blending biochemistry with eco-justice narrative.

The Execution: A biology enthusiast researched microembolization and translated fungal enzyme mechanics into superhero powers. They illustrated a 3-volume comic about combating industrial pollution, crowdfunded its print run.
